CSCE Student Chapter

The University of British Columbia Chapter of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (UBC CSCE) is a student group with a passion for civil engineering. Nationally, the CSCE is a  learned society created to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession. UBC CSCE is run by student volunteers who are committed to connecting the student experience to industry through many different facets. Many of the events put on by UBC CSCE not only allow students to meet with industry and establish contacts for future employment prospects, but also provide unique and genuine opportunities to learn and understand many aspects of civil engineering that would not normally be explored inside a classroom. Some of these events are listed below.

Lunch & Learn Seminars combine a nourishing meal with an inside perspective on a specific civil engineering project presented by experienced engineers directly involved in the project’s development.

Site Visits offer students in-depth tours of active civil engineering projects or production facilities directly related to projects.

UBC CSCE Industry Night is a gathering of students and industry where many great connections are made for future employment options

And so much more.
