CIVL Professor working to mitigate building collapse in Earthquakes

Professor Ken Elwood is leading a team that is developing guidelines for the assessment of the collapse potential of concrete buildings in earthquakes in order to be able to identify buildings most vulnerable to collapse and mitigate this significant seismic risk as quickly as possible.  These guidelines will be applicable across North America.
