Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL)

Two uniquely innovative master’s degrees are offered by the Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) for engineers and other technical professionals. The Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) in Urban Systems: Infrastructure for Resilient Cities is a professional degree for systems thinkers who want to address complex infrastructure challenges and the Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) in Integrated Water Management is a professional degree for engineers and environmental science graduates who want to excel and drive innovation in sustainable water management initiatives.  These hybrid programs combine graduate-level engineering and urban planning courses with UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School courses – giving you the skills and confidence to build your career and drive innovation in urban planning and/or integrated water management.
