Research
Funding
Research
funding is available from a number of sources. A limited number
of Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) are offered each year on
a competitive basis. These awards complement project specific
funding for industrially based research. In addition, Canadian
students may apply for research funding through NSERC.
Upon
admission to UBC, geotechnical students are eligible to apply for
the annual Vancouver
Geotechnical Society (VGS) prize. Students with a first class
academic standing, and an emerging publication record are also
encouraged to apply for UGF
awards.
