The Department of Civil Engineering at UBC is one of Canada’s largest and most research intensive civil engineering departments.  We offer opportunities for outstanding students to pursue degrees in any one of our three graduate degree programs: Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).  In a typical academic year, about 250 graduate students from locations all over the world are engaged in studies in one of our eight areas of specialization.  Our graduate programs are supported by state-of-the art teaching and research facilities, which in many cases, are unique in international terms.  Candidates for M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees are normally provided with financial support that consists of a combination of graduate research assistantships, teaching assistantships and scholarships.

For additional information on the graduate study opportunities available at Civil@UBC, please contact our graduate secretary.
