Construction Management Research Laboratory
The Construction Management Group's research focuses on the design of integrated, computer-based decision tools to support project design, construction, and facilities management. To support this research, our facility includes a state-of-the-art modeling and visualization lab.
This lab is outfitted with large-screen, interactive visualization technologies (both hardware and software) configured in an integrated computing environment that is arranged for group collaboration in a conference room format. The computing equipment supports integration across multiple devices and computer applications, and will allow on-site data collection to be directly incorporated into the computer-based models.
The lab is equipped with a control room that controls how inputs are directed to the different displays and manages the interactions between different computer applications across multiple workstations. We also have a mobile version of this lab that can be taken to the construction site work face.
