The software programs developed by the UBC In-Situ Soil Testing Group are DOS based, interactive and user friendly. These programs are no longer supported by the Civil Engineering Department at U.B.C. and as of March 31, 2002 are made available as FREEWARE. The program may be copied and distributed to interested users provided the source of the program is properly cited and recognition is given in any publications and reports.
DISCLAIMER: The Civil Engineering Department, Faculty and Staff do not guarantee nor imply the accuracy or reliability of this program or related documentation. As such, they cannot be held responsible for incorrect results or damages resulting from the use of these programs.
To download a freewave, click on the title in red and follow download instructions. CPTINT ver. 5.2: FREEWAREA user friendly MENU driven program for CPT and CPTU Interpretation which can search, view, define and save both input and output file formats including units which can be changed (English, metric or SI).· More than 35 different correlation parameters including interpretation for soil classification type by friction and pore pressure ratios, relative density and internal friction by 3 methods, SPT N and N1, cyclic stress ratio to cause liquefaction and that applied by earthquake, dynamic shear modulus, constrained modulus and Young's modulus over various depth intervals with a choice of units can be calculated in the SAND Parameter Menu.· The CLAY Parameter Menu allows the interpretation for undrained shear strength by one of 5 methods, OCR, and moduli.· All units are user definable and output into a file compatible for direct input into a Spreadsheet, GRAPHER or other plotting program (no graphics in this program).· Newest features include an enhanced level-ground empirical liquefaction analysis, above ground water table, use of Rf or Bq zone for basis of interpretation in a separate LIQUEFACTION menu and input of user defined values of unit weight, SPT N, water pressure, Qt, Rf or Bq Zone, and CSR(EQ) with Depth. Zone 6 (silty-sand) may be switched from undrained to drained analysis. Also inclusion of average vertical gradient and alternate SPT, State Parameter and Fines Content estimates.
STATSITU: FREEWAREThis package consists of seven microcomputer programs that can be used for the statistical analysis of in-situ test data, with special emphasis on the cone penetrometer test (CPT). These programs were written by Damika Wickremesinghe in support of his PhD studies and his thesis should also be downloaded for detailed explanations.
Most of the above programs generate multiple output files. All the above programs are interactive and have been written in Microsoft Fortran. |
